Full Time Village Manager with Charter – Council/Manager form of government



Qualifications:

The Village of East Palestine, population 4,721 (2010 census), with an annual operating budget of $5,088,663.00 (FY 2019), and which staffs approximately 85 full-time and part-time employees, seeks candidates for the position of the Village Manager. The position serves in a Manager / Council charter form of government. The Manager is employed by and responsible to six (6) elected council members for the proper administration of all village affairs. The village is a full-service local government consisting of police, fire, EMS, water, wastewater, park, street, cemetery, and administrative departments.
The ideal candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, or related equivalent field, with at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a municipal manager or assistant in local municipal management, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and expertise in local government human resource management, finance and budget, and economic development and redevelopment.
