Details:
Monitors and maintains wastewater treatment plant operations by collecting and analyzing data, performing operational checks and adjustments, servicing and maintaining equipment and facilities, as well as, biosolids handling and disposal. Collects and analyzes samples and data and adjusts treatment processes to respond to changing water quality conditions. Receives on the job training and experience. Assists in providing training to new employees as directed by Supervision or Management.

Qualifications:
-Graduation from a high school or equivalent G.E.D.
- Must have a valid Michigan driver's license and qualify to drive a Division vehicle in compliance with the Division Driver Policy.
- TPO II (A) a valid Michigan Class "D" Wastewater Operator's certification is not required. If a TPO II (A) successfully obtains the "D" certificate, the incumbent will be promoted to the title of TPO II (B).
- TPO II (B) must have and maintain a valid Michigan Class "D" Wastewater Operator's certification or equivalent from another state.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience working as a water or wastewater treatment plant operator or equivalent education as determined by the Employer.
- Must be able to work various shifts, irregular hours, including holidays and weekends (please note: this position shall follow the same language and receive the same benefits provided for Senior Treatment Plant Operators per Bargaining Unit Agreement Article 19, Hours of Work and Premium Hours with the exception of the 30 calendar day notification of schedule change. This position will only require a ten (10) day notice for a schedule change.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of seventy-five (75) pounds.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and outdoors under varying climatic
