Electronic System Technician Exam

The Department of Public Utilities is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Electronic System Technician. To apply, one must first take the open-competitive examination. Applications may be submitted to the Civil Service Commission by applying online at www.csc.columbus.gov by 5/29/2019. Applicant tracking is now managed by NEOGOV. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of electronic equipment with voltages from 5 VDC to 480 VAC; and for telephone, processing control, or instrumentation and chemical feed systems. To qualify you must have two (2) years of experience troubleshooting, installing, and repairing electronic equipment. Substitution (s): two (2) years of formal classroom training in electronics or a closely related field may be substituted for the two (2) years of experience on a year-for-year basis. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required. Salary range of $49,088 - $65,790. Please contact the Civil Service Commission at 614-645-8300 with questions. Qualifications:
