This position is responsible for difficult professional, administrative and supervisory work in the planning, organization, direction and coordination of the operations, maintenance, capital improvements and activities of City Water Production and Water Reclamation facilities, including laboratory facilities. Work is performed under the joint direction of the Water Reclamation Superintendent and Water Production Superintendent but exercise of considerable independent judgment is expected. Supervision is exercised over technical, operating, maintenance, laboratory and clerical staff.



Qualifications:

Three (3) years of experience in the operation and maintenance of water treatment and water reclamation facilities including supervisory experience; and
Possession of a valid Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Class III or IV Wastewater Operator Certificate and Class II or III Water Operator Certificate (reciprocal license will not be considered); and
Possession of a valid Ohio driver's license (will be verified for finalists); and
Availability for after-hours emergency situations.

Additional PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or closely related field.
