JMT is seeking candidates for a Water Resources/ Water Waste Water Project Engineer position to join our fast-growing practice in Cincinnati, Ohio. We're looking for a candidate with a lot of horsepower to be a part of our team as we grow our water/wastewater division.
The selected candidate will be embedded in a team of experienced project managers and professional engineers working on exciting water and wastewater infrastructure designs, including water distribution and transmission, pumping stations, sanitary rehabilitation design, green infrastructure design, and wet weather solutions for large urban clients, currently underway in the Greater Cincinnati Area and across the Mid-West and Mid-Atlantic regions. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Work closely with professional engineers to develop construction plans and specifications for various design projects
Prepare design drawings using 3D design tool
Assist with development of technical evaluation memoranda and reports
Develop technical specifications for latest technologies
Prepare engineering cost estimates
Review constructability of design using critical thinking
Provide QA/QC of technical documents and plans
Assist project managers on development of scope, fee, and schedules for task assignments
Assist with development of marketing proposals and participate in client presentations
Deliver all project objectives for assigned tasks including preparing construction contract documents (plans, specifications, cost estimates), and preparing written technical memoranda
Expected to coordinate with clients, contractors, outside consultants, government agencies and internal staff
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program required, Environmental or Mechanical acceptable depending on course work completed
A passing grade on the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering exam
3 - 7 years of experience practicing water / wastewater engineering
Experience working with clients at the city, county and state level, preference given to Cincinnati
Experience with pumping stations and force mains, as well as developing system curves and transient analysis
Knowledge of hydraulic modeling for distribution and collection systems
Experience with gravity/combined sewer and manning equations
Knowledge of the water and wastewater treatment process
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, ArcGIS, and MS Project

Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
