As a Finance Analyst you will play a key role in influencing Columbia Sportswear Company’s profitable and sustainable growth. This role is a critical contributor in driving financial insight and providing key information to impact business outcomes with business partners and senior management. This role will also act as a trusted and tactful challenger in developing financial plans with operations in alignment with business objectives and financial goals.You will support Columbia Sportswear’s corporate functions, such as the HR, Legal, Finance and IT departments, partnering with senior leaders to leverage financial insight and maximize business outcomes. This position provides broad exposure to the corporate operations of a multinational corporation and opportunities to collaborate across a wide range of functions and partners.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare, analyze and maintain prospective financial information including long-range plans, annual budgets, monthly/quarterly worldwide forecasts, and ad hoc reports
• Provide reporting and analysis of corporate results as well as ad hoc analysis to support internal business partners and leadership of the Financial Planning team
• Strong understanding of financial statements, disclosures, and management reports
• Partner with financial peers and effectively work to achieve common goals
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment with accuracy
• Communicate financial principles and results in an accessible way to non-financial personnel
• Adept at learning new technological systems used to consolidate and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Relentlessly continue to improve processes by solving problems and developing solutions for relevant tasks

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, related field, or equivalent
• Minimum 1-3 years experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis, and strong organizational and communication abilities a must
• Proficient with standard Office suite of programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with visual analytics tools such as Power BI is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills and/or prior experience with enterprise level planning systems such as IBM Cognos TM1 is preferred
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) a plus
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail are essential to success in this position
• Ability to build effective relationships and serve as a challenger in developing sound financial/business plans
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism are crucial for this high visibility role which interacts directly with senior leadership
