|Details:||Summary: Professional Land Survey Manager will oversee the Land Survey Department. This person will supervise all Licensed Surveyor's performance and provide direct feedback. Direct the daily assignments, prioritizes tasks, and modifies the daily responsibilities/schedules of team members as needed. Provide career guidance and training to others within the company looking to become a LS. Communicates effectively with clients in the field to ensure proper definition of project scope and specification. Works with Client Services-Project Managers and Field Services Coordinator(s) to facilitate job scheduling, estimates. |
The proper execution of projects as outlined by Clients, Project Managers and Strategic Steering Team.
• Monitors resources and recommends capacity adjustments as needed
• Supervises others in following all safety protocols and standard operating practices
• Oversees the fundamental training and supervision of personnel
• Acts as an integral part of a new technology/best practices team and assists with the implementation of new processes
• Responsible for defining, documenting and ensuring adherence to survey process and procedure
• Interacts with clients in a positive and professional manner
• Manages and balances the workload
• Reviews work in progress during the course of work. Direct rework, if necessary
• Knowledge of a variety of instruments including levels, total stations, and GPS equipment
• Coordinates with Client Services/Project Managers/Survey Managers to ensure work gets done on time and on budget

o Advanced knowledge of plumb range rods and level rods; the use of conventional surveying equipment such as rods, chains, tripods, levels, and tribrachs

o Advanced understanding of GIS concepts and processes; uses and operations of GPS data capture equipment and software.

o Must be a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in at least one or more of the following states, CO, WY, ND, MT, UT, NM, OK
o At least 2 years' experience at managing a team
o Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D,
o Comprehensive knowledge of ALTA's, Boundary, Topographic and Construction surveying is required
o Must be able to work in a team environment
