Details:
This is a semi and limited skilled position with the City of Saginaw's 52 MGD water treatment plant responsible for the operation and computerized control of plant and pumping station equipment. Duties include general maintenance and mechanical repair tasks and assuming lead worker responsibilities on an assigned shift or project.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Knowledge of electricity, chemistry and biology.
- Must possess a good mechanical aptitude with one year of experience in the operation and maintenance of various types of mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics is desirable.
- State of Michigan certification as a water operator preferred. Must obtain and maintain F-4 certification within 2 years of hire.
- Must possess an understanding of computer systems.
- Ability to work a straight shift that may require swinging to different shifts frequently and working weekends and holidays.
- Must possess valid Michigan driver’s license.
