Details:

This is highly skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of fire hydrants, water distribution mains, water service lines, and sanitary, storm, or combined sewer collection lines. Work also involves serving as a lead worker over a small crew involved in maintenance and repair tasks. Work also requires the safe operation of assigned vehicles, including the operation of sewer-cleaning equipment.



Qualifications:

This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent and considerable experience in the maintenance and repair of water distribution systems, fire hydrants, or sewer collection systems at or above the level of Utility Worker. This position requires possession of a valid Ohio Class A CDL with tanker and air brake endorsements, a period of 90 working days will be given to obtain the CDL, if necessary. In addition, possession of an Ohio EPA Class I Operator certification in either Water Distribution Systems or Waste Water Collection Systems within three (3) years of appointment is required. Within five (5) years of the date of appointment, the additional certification must be obtained and the position requires dual certification thereafter.
