This position reports to the Water Treatment Supervisor and provides a variety of routine, complex, skilled and technical work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the water treatment facilities and actively supports and upholds the City’s stated mission and values. Additional responsibilities include performing analyses of various water environmental samples for the efficient operation of the treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will have an EPA Class II or III Water Supply Operator license, aptitude for operations, laboratory and maintenance work with background knowledge in math, general science, and general chemistry.
Qualifications:
The minimum qualifications are:
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent (G.E.D.); and
2. Possess and maintain a valid Ohio Driver’s License; * and
3. Two (2) years of experience in water treatment and/or water distribution system operations and maintenance, or equivalent; and
4. Possess an Ohio EPA Class II or III Water Supply Operator license *; and
5. Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies and fulfill physical demands of the position; and
6. Must be able and willing to work extended hours and demonstrate a work history of excellent attendance and overtime response.
*Licensures must be maintained over the course of employment as a condition of employment within this classification.
Comments:
The wage range for the position is $21.6680 to $25.1631 per hour DOQ with an excellent benefits package.
