Your Finance Team at DWFritz

Your Challenge

This position is responsible for the day to day operations of the Finance department. Responsibilities include project accounting, general ledger accounting and financial reporting, month end closing, payroll and 401(k) review, along with managing project revenue and cost recognition. Provides support and guidance to accounts payable and works closely with all members of the Finance department. The position requires strong organization and multitasking abilities, exceptional analytical skills, and ability to collaborate with many levels of the organization.

Your Responsibilities
Ownership of the general ledger and month end close. Ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and maintained each month as well as ensuring expense accounts are coded timely, consistently and accurately. Responsible for closing the books quickly and accurately each month to ensure management has necessary financial reporting for strategy and decision making.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
oRevenue Recognition and COGS Reconciliation.
oInventory Reconciliation.
oLine of Credit reporting and analysis; note payable reconciliation; interest expense accrual.
oPrepares accruals for SG&A expenses.
oFinancial Statement consolidation with China.
oReconcile and record project over and under billings.
oReview and post weekly expense reports.
•Prepare and review operational and financial reporting. Reports include but are not limited to revenue GM analysis reporting, proposal and R&D expense analysis, monthly financial indicators reporting, borrowing certificate reporting, and ad hoc reporting as needed.
•Manage project percentage of completion and perform weekly project costs review.
•Review biweekly payroll and 401k compliance reporting. This includes review of time reporting, payroll processing, payroll GL interface etc. Additionally, calculates commissions and profit sharing. Acts as a backup for the payroll and 401(k) functions.
•Assist with and prepares documentation for audits (financial statement audit, bank audit, tax review etc.).
•Prepare financial review slides for monthly financial results review meeting with Senior Team. Assist with preparing financials slides for the quarterly meeting.
•Work closely with ERP team on implementation of new modules and improvement projects.

Your Education and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
•5+ years small to medium sized business accounting experience.
•Experience with ERP computer software and job costing preferred.
•CPA is not required, but highly preferred.
