As Sr. Manager - Payments, you will work with the payments industry’s elite companies to deliver best-in-class customer payment experiences while driving change in the c-store industry. You will be responsible to drive innovative, customer-centric payment solutions to provide payment experiences for Circle K’s customers throughout North America by partnering with FinTech companies, leading financial institutions and payment networks. This role will have a heavy focus on driving payments innovation spanning diverse customer experiences while supporting the Director of Payments on contract negotiations, lowering our total cost of payment acceptance (TCA) and developing strategies.

Additionally, you will be required to collaborate with a diverse set of internal teams to achieve success in this role. This role requires someone who is effective at simplifying complex problems, innovating on behalf of our customers, and collaborating with teams and developers to launch new payment experiences.

 Identify, cultivate and launch new relationships with payment providers, 3rd party banks, payment networks and schemes
 Proactively work directly with payment partners to ensure understanding of Circle K and its strategies within the payment industry
 Provide strategic and pro-active guidance to internal Circle K businesses and stakeholders on new partnership opportunities
 Present ideas and capabilities to senior level decision makers
 Evaluate and recommend product and service enhancements that improve payment acceptance and overall customer experience
 Communicates effectively across multiple cross functional department and teams
 Ensures security and payment by planning, defining, and testing vendor methodologies and strategies
 Ensures that projects are managed timely according to high standards, including appropriate work planning, test planning, quality assurance, progress tracking, status reporting, financial management and change management
 Research, development & implementation of new payment initiatives, innovative technology and hardware to grow sales and/or lower the cost of payment processing
 Manage integration of all proprietary payment methods across all branded and proprietary networks
 Assist in negotiation, administration & performance review of contracts for all payment methods processing with branded partners, proprietary processors and card issuers
 Communicate any changes in rules, regulations, or procedures that affect payment methods
 Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies

 Bachelor’s degree in business administration is preferred. Other combinations of job related experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
 10+ years of experience preferred; including minimum of five years of management responsibility.
 Strong leadership skills with the ability to build relationships cross-functionally and to influence and build consensus among teams; strong interpersonal skills.
 Self-starter who takes initiative. Flexible with change and unafraid of ambiguity.
 Natural sense of urgency and curiosity
 Excellent written and oral communication skills.
 Proficiency in MS software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
 Must possess the ability to manage multiple activities.

 Ability to sit at a desk for long periods at a time.
 Ability to operate a computer.
 Ability to communicate, verbal or written, to associates, vendors, customers.
 Ability to travel as needed
