Supervisor – Wastewater Treatment Plant

The Lake County Department of Utilities is accepting applications for the position of Wastewater Treatment Supervisor in our operations department at the Gary L. Kron Water Reclamation Facility (GLKWRF) in Mentor, Ohio. Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED, a valid Ohio Driver’s license with a safe driving record, and possess an OEPA Class III Wastewater Certification. Applicants should have experience in the following areas:

• Significant leadership in supervising plant operators
• Documented project experience in asset management and electronic work orders
• Coordinating with maintenance staff to plan and schedule maintenance activities for wastewater treatment plant repairs, upgrades and modifications
• Experience in implementing preventative maintenance programs
• In plant project development and long range capital project planning experience
• Ability to work effectively with other County departments and public officials
• Advanced knowledge of wastewater treatment processes including federal, state and local laws pertaining to the NPDES permit
• Responding to treatment plant mechanical or operational malfunctions as needed

Starting salary is dependent on qualifications.
