About the Job: A great opportunity to join a highly reputable professional service organization seeking to hire an experienced Civil / Water Resources Engineer to work as an integral part of a growing municipal engineering design team in our Columbus, Ohio office on projects involving site/civil design, water distribution, street rehabilitation; sanitary and storm water infrastructure design, etc. for a variety of clients across the Midwest. Position includes marketing, administration, client and project management; preparation of technical documents and oversight, planning and engineering functions.

Qualifications:
Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 10+ years of Relevant Experience
• An Ohio Professional Engineer License
• Demonstrated Experience in Civil and Water Resource Design including Sanitary and Stormwater Management, Hydraulic/Hydrologic Modeling and SWMM5 experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD 3D, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Experience managing staff, interacting with clients, building client relations, planning, organizing, and developing an office are a plus
• Ability to assist with development of project scope, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent technical writing skills.


Comments:
Responsibilities Include (Not Limited To):
• Perform as lead engineer in the development and application of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling and analyses related to a variety of water resource engineering design projects.
• Mentor junior staff in various areas including hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
• Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering evaluation and design tasks.
• Develop high-quality technical reports, design drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare engineer’s construction cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
• Serve as a task manager leading technical aspects and design team for an overall project.
• Oversee/manage subcontractors for project related field work or site inspections.
• Attend client and public meetings.
