The City of Chillicothe, Ohio is currently accepting resumes in consideration of ideal candidates for:
DIRECTOR OF UTILITIES

This is a professional management-level position responsible for the administration and direction of all operations and services of the Chillicothe Utilities Department, which includes the municipal water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plant, water distribution system, wastewater collection system, and the utility business office. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional leadership, planning and coordination for various units under his or her supervision, meeting the normal and emergency needs of the City of Chillicothe. This position is exempt under FLSA, non-classified and reports to the Mayor.


Qualifications:
Educational and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science Degree (specialization in civil, environmental, sanitary, hydraulics or water engineering) or Bachelor’s in Public Administration or related discipline
• Minimum five years’ experience in a broad scope managerial/supervisory role
• A combination of relevant education and Ohio EPA Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment Certification

Desirable Qualifications:
• Experience in Labor Relations and managing public/collective bargaining employees including effective managerial practices and methods
• Experience in Public Utilities/Public Works
• Experience in strategic planning, development, performance & data tracking
• Ohio EPA Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment Certification
• State of Ohio Licensed Professional Engineer
