Details:
Supervises operation and maintenance of Township wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with discharge parameters and meet federal and state mandated requirements. Responsible for operational records of the facility and prepares reports to the MDEQ and USEPA.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Water quality or related field preferred. Five year experience in all phases of wastewater collections systems, public works, operation and maintenance, three years management level capacity and administrative duties, must have Michigan Class “B” Sewage Treatment Works Operator Certification, knowledge in primary treatment, secondary treatment, sludge handling/disposal, laboratory analysis and all requirements contained therein. Must also be familiar with small communities in urban/rural areas, be capable of solving problems, have knowledge of Township government and must have good written and oral communication skills.
