Details:
This is semi-skilled work in the construction, installation, maintenance and repair of City of Saginaw water and sewer systems under general supervision. Work may include installing and repairing water and sewer mains and services as well as performing maintenance activities on utilities and providing water meter reading and servicing. This position may involve considerable contact with the public.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in performing manual labor tasks
- Knowledge of water and sewer systems, repair and construction standards
- Minimum two years’ experience in maintenance and repair of water and sewer systems preferred
- Experience operating various types of construction and maintenance equipment
- Must possess a valid State of Michigan Class A Commercial Driver's License with N endorsement prior to date of hire
- Must obtain a State of Michigan S-4 or higher Water Distribution License within two years from placement into the position.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather and in adverse working conditions
- Willing to respond to an emergency situation 24 hours a day/7 days a week; able to respond within one hour of notification of an emergency
