GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Business and Records Coordinator serves as the financial manager of the Wang Center team. Primary responsibilities include overseeing and coordinating the business functions and record-keeping related to Study Away. This includes financial planning and monitoring of all Wang Center accounts, assisting in registration and transcript processing, liaising with Student Financial Services and the Business Office on matters related to student financial aid, gift aid, and payments, expense planning, and accounting for study away programs as well as Wang Center purchase card administration. Reports to the Executive Director of the Wang Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate Wang Center study abroad program budgets as well as operating and restricted funds under the direction of the Executive Director.
• Manage payments of invoices for study away programs and sign on all other Wang Center invoices and payments as presented.
• Register and bill all study away students and initiate adjustments to student accounts.
• Process program application fees, deposits, and reimbursements.
• Bill home institutions or organizations and process payments for all visiting student accounts on PLU semester programs.
• Support the processing of grade reports and assignment of credit information for all study away students, including visiting students.
• Assist in the financial reconciling of study away programs as assigned.
• Manage the Wang Center purchase cards and Bank of America Works reconciliation processes.
• Support short-term program manager in program development and faculty support.
• Manage grants and special program accounts.
• In the capacity of financial manager, may be called upon to provide off-hours emergency support.
• Management of organization’s records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Terra Dotta, and Banner.


Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in an educational setting.
2. Experience in financial monitoring and management.
3. High school diploma or GED.
4. Finalist applicants must satisfactorily complete pre-employment background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree, business-related field
• Experience working in an international setting.
