Details:
The position is responsible for performing the duties of operation and light maintenance of the plant. Performs duties assigned to him/her by the Lead Operator in accordance with procedures outlined by the Plant Superintendent. Employees in this class are training to prepare themselves to obtain an Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Wastewater Operator's Class I, II or III Certificate through steady on-the-job training and will be compensated accordingly.

Qualifications:
Must have high school diploma or GED. Must hold a Class I, II or III Certificate; Must possess good knowledge of modern pollution control plant principles & operating practices; thorough knowledge of water pollution control plant operations such as primary treatment, chemical precipitation, incineration operation, activated sludge, tertiary treatment, vacuum filtration and centrifuging.
