Details:

Under direct supervision of the Maintenance Foreman, the Maintenance Technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical instrumentation, machinery, and equipment in the WWTP. The Instrumentation Maintenance Technician also performs routine maintenance in the plant, plant upkeep, plant operations, and performs miscellaneous duties as needed. The Instrumentation Maintenance Technician operates a tow motor, forklift, welder, electrical testing equipment, sampling equipment, computers and system controls and various hand/power tools involved in maintaining the plant’s operational equipment. The work is performed in an industrial setting involving regular exposure to unpleasant odors and fumes, potential exposure to excessive temperatures, humidity and noise, and is also occasionally performed in an outside setting involving potential exposure to inclement weather and pathogens.

Qualifications:

*Requires a high school education and at least three (3) years of previous experience in a position involving maintenance instrumentation and controls.

*All new employees of the WWTP must be licensed through the State of Ohio Environmental Protection agency as a Wastewater Operator Class I within 30 months of date of hire.

Reports To: WWTP Superintendent Salary: $27.59/hr
Shift: 8:00 A.M. – 4 P.M. Monday –Friday
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
