Details:

Responsible for developing and maintaining the Portage County Water Resources Department GIS Program and assisting with design modifications to existing water and wastewater facilities in Portage County. Oversee the geolocation of all Portage County water and wastewater facilities. Develop, calibrate, and maintain hydraulic models of Portage County water systems and pressured gravity wastewater systems. Develop and maintain Portage County Water and Wastewater GIS map. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with County policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, recommending to hire, training, assigning and directing work, performance appraisal, discipline, addressing complaints and resolving problems, providing interpretation of County policies, procedures, rules and laws.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required, along with a minimum of three (3) years related experience and one (1) year supervisory experience preferred. Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and maintain continuing eligibility under the existing County driver eligibility standards. Must obtain an Ohio Professional Engineering License within one year (1) of hire.
