AECOM has an excellent career opportunity for a project engineer in our Cleveland, OH office. In this position, you will provide technical support on challenging projects that may include water and wastewater conveyance and treatment design, hydraulic analysis, SSES management support, report writing, permitting, technical studies, and construction management for northern Ohio and other Midwest municipal clients.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Water and wastewater treatment, water distribution and wastewater collection are projects the candidate wil be involved with studying, designing and building
Perform independent technical task and project management for design and construction contracts, direct client interaction, proposal support and contract management, and related assignments requiring application of water engineering techniques, processes, and procedures
Lead and coordinate work with project or task team to organize and complete office and field engineering and SSES studies
Work under the direction of the department, group and project managers to define objectives and determine solutions for complex issues
Direct the work of support staff to complete projects within budget and schedule
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
8+ years experience in Water /Wastewater engineering field
Ohio PE or ability to obtain by reciprocity within 3 months
Capable of working directly with clients and support staff to prepare complete design and bid documents and reports
Task management experience on moderate size water municipal water conveyance and treatment engineering and multi-discipline tasks
Motivated for technical excellence, team player, leader, organized, excellent communicator
Must possess a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or ARCGIS is preferred
Project management experience/certification
