Consulting civil engineering firm seeks qualified applicants for a Senior Licensed Engineer to serve as the Lead Water Resources Engineer at our corporate office in Shelby Township, Michigan:

Primary Responsibilities:

As a lead water resources engineer, this position must mentor, supervise and coordinate the work of assigned engineering staff in the analysis and design of various water resources projects. Will be responsible for performing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, permit compliance assistance, conducting design calculations, preparing design drawings, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.

Projects include storm drainage conveyance, riverine and coastal floodplain mitigation, FEMA letter of map revision studies, detention projects, design of spillways and outlet works, stormwater BMP implementation, streambank stabilization and restoration, watershed management planning and implementation, MS4 program management, IDEP and TMDL monitoring, integration of Green Infrastructure, sanitary sewer capacity analysis, sanitary sewer evaluation surveys, flow monitoring studies, sanitary system evaluation/rehabilitation, pump station and force main design.


Qualifications:
Education/Experience Requirements:

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with emphasis on Water Resources
• PE registration in the State of Michigan required
• Post licensure management experience as an in-charge professional for 5 or more years
• Ability to management and query data in a GIS environment
• Thorough knowledge of HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and SWMM and other modeling programs
• Auto CAD experience (Civil 3D a plus)

• Must be self-motivated, dependable, and detail oriented
• Ability to coordinate work across multiple departments
• Successful grant writing experience desired
