Position Details
The Madison County Sanitary Sewer and Water District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Operator I. This position will assist in the operation and maintenance of multiple wastewater treatment facilities of the District. The Operator I operates and maintains plant equipment, performs process control, completes modification of plant operations to comply with regulatory requirements, perform collection system maintenance, complete pump repairs and performs other duties as required. This position will serve as an operator of record of the District. The Operator I is included in the on-call rotation for weekends and holidays.
This position is a “hands-on” position and is required to lift up to 100 pounds and performs other duties requiring frequent lifting, extensive walking; and working in confined spaces occasionally to perform duties required, with reasonable accommodation. A majority of the work requires good physical condition




Qualifications:

To qualify for this position the candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the District’s insurance policy. Candidates must possess a minimum of a Class I Wastewater Operator Certification from the Ohio EPA with a Class II or Class III Certification being preferred.
