AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our team in the Southfield, MI or Grand Rapids, MI office. The successful candidate will have prior experience with stormwater management design, project management and client interaction. They will be working on exciting projects that are improving and impacting the local and statewide ecosystems and will also be exploring cutting edge techniques and designs that will impact future projects regionally and globally.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

•Stormwater and watershed management projects


•Green infrastructure design


•Stream restoration and dam removal projects


•Drainage design for transportation projects


•Estimate costs associated with dam infrastructure retrofits, demolition of large riverine infrastructure, and marine and riverine restoration projects


•Lead the constructability analysis and engineering layouts of water infrastructure and restoration projects



Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree in engineering


•10+ years of engineering and design experience focused on study, design, opinions of probable costs, constructability analysis, and construction documentation for large projects with stormwater management, riverine or marine influences


•Registration as a Professional Engineer - preferably in Michigan


•Experience performing site selection planning studies, constructability analysis, and engineering layouts for dredging, stormwater management design, ecological restoration and dam projects


•Experience acquiring regulatory approvals - preferably in Michigan and other Midwest States


•Experience developing construction plans, specifications and cost estimates


•Strong communication skills


•Experienced using current engineering deisgn and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, EPA SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcMap, MS Excel


•Ability to work with limited supervision


•Organized, energetic and enthusiastic


•Ability to build productive working relationships within the firm and with project teams


•Must possess a valid driver’s license


Preferred Qualifications

•Masters Degree in engineering


•13+ years of engineering and design experience focused on study, design, opinions of probable costs, constructability analysis, and construction documentation for large projects with stormwater management, riverine or marine influences


•Experience in HeavyBid (HCSS), RS MEANS or USACE MII cost estimating software


•Project Management and client management experience


•Marketing and business development experience
