The City of Miamisburg, Ohio is accepting applications for the position of Light Equipment Operator in the City’s Sanitary Sewer Collections Division. This is a full-time position in the Public Works Department and under the supervision of the Public Utilities Supervisor. The position operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of municipal sanitary sewer facilities while actively supporting and upholding the City’s mission and values.

Qualifications:

Applicant must possess:

1. High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); and

2. One (1) year of experience in the operation of light equipment relating to construction, maintenance or repair of water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems and/or roadways, or equivalent; and

3. Possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License*; and

4. Possess a minimum of a Class B Ohio Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). (Must possess a Class A CDL and tanker endorsement within six months of position appointment) *; and

5. Obtain a minimum of a Class I Public Water System Operator License*, and/or Treatment Works Operator License*, and/or Water Distribution Operator License*, and/or Sewerage System Operator License* as determined by the department director or designee within two (2) years of appointment.

*Licensures must be maintained over the course of employment as a condition of employment within this classification.


Comments:

The hourly wage for this position is $18.62-$21.39 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience. There is also an excellent benefits package.
