PHYSICAL AND WORK REQUIREMENTS: May be required to walk, sit, or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift a minimum of (80) pounds.
Job duties include running needed lab test (BOD, pH, NH3, DO, solids, and collection of other samples for outside testing.) Must be able to preform maintenance and minor repair of equipment. General knowledge of lift stations and distribution systems is looked on favorable. Employee will be required to help with street and water plant/ distribution system work as needed. Must have the ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time including water line maintenance and repairs, sewer line maintenance and repairs, mowing grass, tree cutting, snow plowing, building maintenance. This position could lead to a mid management position with the utility.


Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license and the ability to obtain an Ohio Class B CDL within 18 months. Must interact with all Village employees and the public in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Comments:
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: All work is performed under the supervision of the Service Director.

SHIFT: Wednesday thru Saturday 7 am – 5 pm

COMPENSATION:


Class I Ohio EPA Operators- Starts at $16.25 - $17.25 / HOUR PLUS BENEFITS. HEALTH INSURANCE PREMIUMS PAID BY VILLAGE SUBJECT TO YEARLY REVIEW. 40 HOURS PER WEEK. Full pay range $14.17- $20.93

Utility Laborer- Starts at $14.00 - $14.95 / HOUR PLUS BENEFITS. HEALTH INSURANCE PREMIUMS PAID BY VILLAGE SUBJECT TO YEARLY REVIEW 40 HOURS PER WEEK. Full pay range $13.25- $17.95
