Details:
Responsible for the supervision, assignment, review and participation in engineering work of employees engaged in civil engineering services.

Includes the planning, design, inspection and contract administration of public works projects such as streets, stormwater system, traffic controls, and related capital improvement projects; ensuring work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures.

Additionally, performs the more technical and complex tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility. Responsible for overseeing compliance with State and/or Federal programs such as SESC, Stormwater Phase II, etc.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree with major course work in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline, and possession of, or ability to obtain registration as a Professional Engineer.

Work experience must include eight years of increasingly responsible civil engineering experience, including two years of administrative or lead supervisory responsibility.

Experience with AutoCAD software is desirable, and possession of an unrestricted Michigan Driver’s License is required.

Additionally, to perform the essential functions of the job, an individual may be required to maintain a physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods of time, operating assigned equipment in an office environment with exposure to computer screens, and conducting site inspections in the field in inclement weather conditions.

Comments:
Salary: $52,677 to a maximum of $73,805; maximum of $75,441 if licensed.

Work Schedule: 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.
