Basic requirements are a Bachelor's Degree (we need to be able to tell you like numbers!), some work experience (this includes internship experience), intermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

This position will play a key role in the growth initiatives of divisions assigned and the financial performance of all ESRD facilities across the Polaris group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.

Growth and Partner-of-Choice Initiatives

-Create financial models for proposed new facilities, research and produce core market studies, JV relationship management and partnership reporting with JV Doctors
-Work with Regional Operating Directors to create financial models for proposed new facilities, expansions, and relocations

Financial and Operating Reports

-Distribute monthly P&L “snapshots" and other related reports as needed; perform follow-up analysis and respond to questions from the field
-Evaluate the P&L and related Operating reports to create "actionable insights" for FAs, RODs, and DVPs to improve operating results
-Analyze variance to budget for all line-items with an unfavorable variance for the month, and provide analyses for the Monthly Financial Review (MFR) rollup to the Group Finance Director
-Produce bi-weekly analyses of line-item variances and causes for Group SVP regarding commercial patients, salary and wage expense, and teammate retention as applicable and develop action plans to mitigate unfavorable variances
-Maintain current date for the Division’s dashboard & notes, -Competitor hotspots, census, missed treatments, metrics related to the Division’s annual goals, and other reoccurring division reports.
-Review, approve and monitor Capital Expense requests from all facilities and the accuracy of reports from finance.

Budgeting and Planning

-Perform facility-level budgeting and planning, including preparation of trend and variance analyses on facility, region, and division level
-Train Facility Administrators (FA) and Regional Operating Directors (ROD) on budget processes as needed

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:

-Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed
-Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
-Contribute to division team-building initiatives (e.g. Annual Division Meeting Agenda, Contests, Videos, Christmas Party, etc.)



Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in related area required
-1-3 years’ finance experience required; healthcare experience preferred
-Demonstrated quantitative skills and analytic ability required
-Expert-level computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel required; intermediate proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required; intermediate proficiency in PowerPoint, MapPoint, and Essbase preferred
