The City of Columbus Department of Public Utilities is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Engineer III in our Private Development section. This position is responsible for leading the activities of the Plan Review Group at the City of Columbus’ One Stop Shop (OSS). Work involves directing and coordinating activities, interactions with consultants, developers, contractors, utility companies, other City Departments, and various regulatory agencies. Will also provide management support for the OSS group operations, DOSD Permit Office, and related Private Development Section needs. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a valid State of Ohio Professional Engineer certificate and three (3) years of experience as a Professional Engineer which includes some supervisory experience over professional engineers or engineering projects. Substitution: Possession of a valid State of Ohio Professional Engineer certificate and nine (9) years of practical engineering experience, which includes two (2) years of experience supervising professional engineers or engineering projects. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Salary $72,301 - $108,451.
