Details:
Under close supervision, employees of this entry level class provide technical services and engineering support duties. Work includes updating and maintaining networked databases, spreadsheets, reports, and other documents by using applicable software programs. Enters and prints information from various data systems and applications. Provides assistance and support on a technical basis to office team. May answer routine field crew inquiries via radio and cellular phone. May perform a variety of other engineering and field support activities or performs a specific function on a full-time basis. Utilizes current county-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

Qualifications:
1. Must be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Education Development Test; AND

2. Have had at least three (3) months of full-time experience performing or assisting with mapping, engineering, community planning, surveying, property assessing, architectural work, or relevant computer applications.

NOTE: Seven (7) credits from an accredited college or university in an engineering curriculum may substitute for the experience described above.

3. Possess a valid Michigan motor vehicle operator's license.

4. Pass the complete examination including the employment medical, established for this class.

5. Successfully complete the six-month probationary period.
