Details:
Under direct supervision, performs basic professional assignments in order to assist higher level engineering staff and to develop professional work knowledges and abilities. Applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks necessary for effective project design, review and implementation including aspects of drain, sewer and/or water plan review. Following operations through a series of steps or processes, coordinating construction progress in an assigned area, preparing materials and labor cost estimates, and providing technical data to inspection and construction staff. Utilizes current county-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

Qualifications:
1. Must have completed at least 90 credit hours from an accredited college or university with a
major in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering degree.

2. Possess a valid vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license.

3. Pass the complete examination, including the employment medical, established for this
classification.

4. Successfully complete the six month probationary period.
