Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Plant Superintendent, operates, maintains and repairs all pumps, compressors, blowers, valves, piping, clarifiers, digesters and various other equipment at the wastewater treatment plant and pumping stations within the service area. Performs building and grounds maintenance as required. Performs sampling and analysis of wastewater samples and documents a variety of data for reports and records. Performs other duties as directed and or deemed necessary for the effective and efficient operation of the wastewater treatment system. Serves in an on-call@ basis to handle emergency situations.



Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires the successful candidate to possess the following:
1) Prefer equivalent of two years of college level coursework in chemistry, engineering, mathematics and related areas.
2) A valid Michigan Driver’s License and be capable of obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License Class B
3) Good written and verbal communication skills
4) Good mechanical ability
5) Ability to pass both a pre-employment physical and drug testing/screening examinations.
