Your Challenge

Privately held with five consecutive years of dynamic double digit growth, DWFritz’s long-term goal is to become a world-class, multi-business segment company. The successful candidate will work closely with the President and CEO to build a financial team to support this goal. This position will be ideal for someone who relishes the prospect of taking a solid business foundation and developing the operational and financial tools to help take the company to the next level.
Additionally, this person will play a key role with the senior team in developing and presenting sound financial decisions, based on data, while also balancing long term investment decisions and maximizing profits. With support from the President, there is an opportunity to build a legacy of assuring financial and business acumen across the organization as a whole.

Your Responsibilities

Responsible for all financial and information systems of the company including accounting, organizational finances, analysis, reporting, planning, budgeting, retirement plans, banking, IT and equipment purchases, while ensuring internal controls, tax and regulatory compliance.
Drive financial and organizational performance by partnering with the President and other senior leaders to provide strategic recommendations and forecasting, based on financial and cost analysis, and projections on operational and strategic issues as they arise.
Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth and operational excellence. Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts. Confer with owners, senior team members as trusted advisor.
Provide partnership, support and guidance to the Sales and Engineering departments on various accounting and project reporting topics to provide a clear linkage between the financial aspects and the project progress, in such areas as proposal development, cost estimating, revenue recognition, projects accounting, provisions, and other key areas.
Provide partnership, support and guidance to the Operations and Manufacturing departments, maximizing our new ERP with linkages to other key data sources
Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents, department budgets, ledger and account maintenance.
Optimize the efficient utilization of cash and financial services in a manner consistent with the company's objectives.
Develop and monitor Standards of Internal Control (SIC), policies and procedures within General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and corporate guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow, reduce operating costs, and increase revenues within a global, project based environment.
Administer and maintain banking and credit arrangements in order to maintain adequate sources of capital for the company.
Continue the integration of strategic planning systems, accounting and ERP for implementation of the financial dashboard and KPI’s to help guide executive team decision making and provide appropriate metrics for analysis of the business. Provide senior management with advice on the financial implications of business activities (current and future)
Continuously improve and implement targeted planning tools to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the annual planning process, overall forecasting capabilities, accounting systems, monthly closing, and the financial reporting processes.
Direct IT strategy and day to day servicing of worldwide operations.
Manage company retirement plans for financial effectiveness and employee retention
Speak on behalf of the company externally to clients, prospective clients, suppliers, banking partners, media, and the general public.
Initiate other activities, whether financial or not, which contribute to the financial health, growth, and overall fulfillment of the corporate mission.



Qualifications:
Your Qualifications

Experience successfully mentoring and developing a team, including managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic.
Experience in implementing internal systems for budget development, cost controls, and long-range financial forecasting.
Ability to develop useful dashboards and presentations. Clearly and effectively communicate data, analysis and simplified KPIs in a way that engages employees and drives results.
Strong working knowledge of ERP and accounting software.
Proficient in corporate communication tools such as MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Your Education and Experience
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 15+ years of progressively responsible financial/management experience and held a CFO position in a company with more than $200M in revenue.
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing environment; project-based or engineering professional services preferred lending to deep understanding of operations management, manufacturing supply chain, information systems across multi-site international operations.
Direct interaction with an ERP system (Epicor preferred).
