Details:
Provide engineering and technical support for the department. Responsible for: subdivision plan review and approval, water and sewer improvement design, construction management and oversight and treatment plant technical assistance.
Design: Participates in the design of various water and wastewater facilities such as water mains, sewer lines, lift stations, and force mains; Prepares drawings, specifications, and contract documents; researches property right-of-ways; performs flow projections and calculations necessary to analyze infrastructure and plan for future expansions; evaluates and updates department standards, procedures, and specifications; and utilizes GIS applications.
Plan Review: Reviews engineering drawings for sanitary sewer and waterline projects. Coordinate with developers, contractors, and department inspectors on the construction of subdivisions from preliminary design to final approval. Prepare correspondence required for contractors, review agencies, and departmental staff.
Construction Management: Assist with the oversight and inspection of capital improvement projects; review and interpret construction drawings; review and approve shop drawings; respond to information request from contractors; prepare change orders; review pay requests; and assist with facility and equipment start-up.
Treatment Plant Technical Assistance: Consult and provide technical assistance to treatment plant operations personnel on troubleshooting, equipment replacement, and process improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in water and wastewater engineering, EIT Certification or ability to obtain within first year.

Wage range: $42,242.00 - $62,242.00 YEARLY

County Information:
The Warren County Water and Sewer Department is a regional water supplier that owns and operates two water treatment plants with a total Ohio EPA rated capacity of 12 million gallons per day. The treatment plants treat water from wells located along the Great Miami and Little Miami aquifers. The water is distributed from four booster pump stations through 500 miles of water mains to over 28,000 water customers. Fire protection and daily storage is provided from eight elevated storage tanks with a total storage volume of 13 million gallons.
The County serves the Villages of Corwin, Harveysburg, and Maineville, as well as portions of Clear Creek, Deerfield, Franklin, Hamilton, Turtle Creek, Union, and Wayne Townships. In addition to the water furnished by our plants the County purchases potable water from the City of Springboro, Village of Waynesville and the City of Cincinnati. The County has emergency water system interconnections with neighboring cities and villages including:

The Warren County Water and Sewer Department serves over 18,000 sewer customers throughout the County. It owns and operates three wastewater treatment plants with Ohio EPA permitted capacities of 7.2 million gallons per day, 80,000 and 16,000 gallons per day. The County also has agreements with the Metropolitan Sewer District, Franklin Regional Wastewater Treatment Corporation, Butler County and the Village of Waynesville to provide wastewater treatment to portions of unincorporated areas of the County. The County maintains over 340 miles of sanitary sewers and 70 sewage pump stations
