Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a regular, full-time position available for a water/wastewater project manager. Responsibilities include inspecting multiple small water/wastewater systems; mechanical and operational troubleshooting; writing reports for state and federal agencies including the State of Michigan and Environmental Protection Agency; inspecting cross connections; inspecting grease traps; coordinating workload with operators; and maintenance and operations planning. The ability to respond promptly to emergencies, a valid driver’s license, and daily travel to various water/wastewater treatment facilities in northern lower Michigan will be required.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have all of the following:
• an associate degree (or higher) in water technology (or related field) plus at least three years of relevant water/wastewater experience, OR if no degree must have at least five years of relevant water/wastewater experience including two years of management experience
• understanding of cross connection control program
• water treatment and distribution license

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: Michigan water license S-3, D-3, or higher; Michigan wastewater treatment license D or higher; cross connection survey experience; troubleshooting; experience inspecting grease traps; regulatory reporting experience; client relationship experience; experience coordinating workload with operators; maintenance and operations planning experience; proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
