The Lake County Department of Utilities is accepting resumes for the position of Laboratory Manager in a wastewater treatment plant laboratory. The applicant must possess five (5) years’ laboratory experience with an Associate’s degree, or higher, in environmental science, biology, chemistry or a closely related field. Possession of an Ohio EPA Class III Wastewater Certification, or an OWEA Laboratory Analyst Class III or IV, and a valid Ohio driver’s license is preferred. This position performs chemical, physical and bacteriological analysis on raw, partially treated and final wastewater to determine plant efficiencies and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Applicants should be knowledgeable in all laboratory related duties and assignments, including development of laboratory budget, staffing and other long range planning.
