The Lake County Department of Utilities is accepting resumes for the position of Laboratory Manager in a water treatment plant laboratory. The applicant must possess five (5) years’ laboratory experience with an Associate’s degree, or higher, in environmental science, biology, chemistry or a closely related field. Possession of an Ohio EPA Class III Water Certification and a valid Ohio driver’s license is preferred. This position performs chemical and bacteriological analysis on Lake Erie water and final finished water to determine plant efficiencies and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Applicants should be knowledgeable of local, state and federal regulations relating to the water industry, all laboratory related duties and assignments, including development of laboratory budget, staffing and other long range planning.
