Details:
- Operates, cleans , and maintains system equipment
- Operates and adjusts valves, fire hydrants, pumps and other appurtenances in accordance with the operational needs of the facility and distribution system
- Observes variations in system operating conditions, completes daily operational logs and reports back to the Water Treatment Supervisor
- Makes adjustments to equipment and chemical feed rates under the direction of the Water Treatment Supervisor
- Makes minor repairs to pumps, motors, controls, valves, and other associated treatment and distribution equipment as directed
- Collects samples and performs a variety of laboratory tests to determine the operating conditions of the system
- Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots and repairs facility equipment as required
- Performs any other duties assigned by the Water Treatment Supervisor
- Participates in the on-call emergency operator rotation


Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Class II Water Supply Operator Certification or higher as issued by the Ohio EPA
- 5 years’ experience in operating a water treatment facility and/or water distribution system, or any combination of experience and training sufficient to indicate ability to perform the work (Pressure Filtration and/or Reverse Osmosis Treatment Systems experience is a plus)


Comments:
Pay Range: $17.00 - $23.00 DOQ
