This is skilled electrical and electronic work in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of divisional electrical, instrumentation and related equipment at the City of Saginaw Wastewater Treatment Plant and its remote facility locations. May assume lead worker responsibilities during assigned projects. Excellent benefit package and stable work schedule.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent required; course work in electrical and mechanical repair is highly preferred. Must possess strong mechanical aptitude. Must possess 5 years’ work experience in the maintenance, repair, installation and calibration of electrical, electronic and computerized equipment. Ability to read electrical prints, control circuits and electronic schematic diagrams. Knowledge of electrical installation, motors, motor control centers, high voltage distribution systems, electronic and pneumatic signal transmitters and controllers. Knowledge of electrical and electronic terms and the National Electrical Code. Knowledge of HVAC including hot water systems and gas furnaces. Experience with programmable logic controllers and use of “ladder logic” is highly desirable. Willing and able to perform under a variety of working conditions: outdoors; at various elevations; in confined spaces; and with high and low electrical voltages. Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan driver’s license.
