WADE TRIM is a full service engineering firm consistently recognized for our award winning solutions. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in the Metro Detroit area to join our team.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and a valid Michigan Driver’s License. A current wastewater license issued by the State of Michigan is preferred, but not required. Basic math, chemistry, and mechanical skills, along with basic computer skills are required. Candidates must be available to work weekends and be on call 24 hours/day, every other week. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Typical responsibilities include:

• Operate and maintain water and wastewater systems
• Monitor and record information from gauges and meters
• Analyze water samples
• Prepare/maintain reading logs, test results and reports
• Maintain accurate records and reports on a daily basis
• Perform water meter reading tasks using electronic hardware
• Perform preventative maintenance on all required equipment
• Respond to emergency call out situations in a timely manner
• Maintain excellent client and public relations
• Maintain a safe work environment
