| Title: | Superintendant of Wastewater Treatment Plant | | Details: | The GRSD Sewer Authority in New Buffalo, Michigan is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to serve as the Superintendant of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Superintendant will work under the general supervision of the Authority Board. The Superintendant is responsible for managing and directing the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and facilities to meet all state and federal regulatory criteria. The Superintendant supervises, plans, and coordinates the operation, maintenance and repair of the municipal wastewater treatment plant, pumping stations and other apparatus. Plans and coordinates work schedules, prioritizes projects, and coordinates activities through subordinate employees. | | Qualifications: | The successful candidate will have the following: A Bachelor degree in the environmental studies field, with coursework in water quality control and five years of progressively more responsible experience in wastewater plant administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Requirements include a “Class B” Michigan Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator’s Certification.
