Implementing and enhancing public technologies in libraries is a challenging practice. Libraries want to ensure that their patrons and community are receiving the highest quality services in technologies and able to benefit the most from them. But how do we measure this, and what ways can we stay up on this ever-changing environment?

The Edge Initiative was created to do just that. It provides established benchmarks in order to evaluate these technology services and then improve them in a way that helps library communities best. We will discuss these evaluative tools, along with the successes that past libraries have had who have used them. Finally, we will provide ways that you can be a part of this interesting initiative.
