As a follow-up to our park clean up event, we have another event to benefit our nature and Greater Lansing Community. The Meridian Conservation Corps (MCC) will be planting native species at Tihart Preserve on August 13.
It would be a good idea to wear long pants in case we are in tall grass to prevent ticks. MCC will provide the plants and shovels necessary to plant the species. You may want to bring gloves, sunscreen, bug spray and water for hydration.
Joe has helped out with MCC a couple times before, and it has been fun and rewarding. We should be doing this in the morning before it gets too hot.
