COLORADO ASSOCIATION OF GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERS
Geostructural Aspects of Pavements, Railways, and Airfields
Date/Time
11/4/2019 - 11/7/2019
Event Description
As the Colorado Association of Geotechnical Engineers turns its attention to 2019, we hope you will put a new event on your schedule. Geostructural Aspects of Pavements, Railways, and Airfields will be held 4 – 7 November 2019 at the Antlers Hotel in Colorado Springs.

The event is being organized by FHWA, FAA, FRA, and USACE-ERDC in partnership with Minerva. A tour of the renowned TTCI research site near Pueblo will be offered. We hope CAGE’s members will contribute strongly to the GAP 2019 technical program. The event's Call for Abstracts is now open.

GAP 2019 has been proposed by the key agencies involved on the steering committee to bring the three major transportation disciplines out of their silos. They seek to identify areas of redundant research and shared geotechnical challenges. They want to inform and learn from one another. Because private sector entities work across the disciplines, these companies will provide welcomed strategies that the organizing agencies can readily implement. This dynamic will shape the essential dialogues.
I hope you will share this opportunity with your membership. We are excited to launch this conference series with Colorado as the site of the inaugural gathering. CAGE’s members’ expertise is deeply important here.
