The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 not only changed the federal individual and business tax system, but it also impacts several other service areas that professionals deal with on a daily basis. This seminar covers many areas that practitioners deal with, including our featured session on estates and trusts. Scheduled to appear (subject to change) are:
Michigan Tax Update: Presenters from the Michigan Department of Treasury will cover all state tax changes, pending legislation, and RABs pertaining to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, along with updates affecting the upcoming tax preparation season.
IRS Tax Update: IRS presenters will cover how the IRS will administer the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 and any passed or pending technical corrections, as well as any important notices and administrative rulings impacting tax preparation season.
Michigan Unemployment Update: Presenters from the Michigan Unemployment Agency will cover administrative changes made reduce problems with the MiWam system and discuss how practitioners can resolve pending issues.
Federal Healthcare Update: McNeil Lunenburg from TASC covers how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 impacts individual and group healthcare reporting for 2018 and beyond.
Estates and Trusts Update: Estates and trusts experts provide a timely update on the federal and state tax changes affecting planning, management, and reporting requirements for various retirement planning vehicles and how practitioners can best service client needs under the new tax act.
