Event Description
Procurement of Library Facilities:  Procurement of an Architect, Bidding, Procurement of a Construction Manager at Risk, and Procurement of a Design Builder
 
This program will discuss the various processes for selecting professionals to assist with the design and construction of public library facilities in Ohio.  Each of the major project delivery models will be discussed, including an overview of each procurement process, the standard for awarding contracts, the process for rejecting unqualified firms, and the relative costs, benefits, and risks associated with each process.

Presenters:
Jack Rosati, Jr. is the chair of Bricker & Eckler's Construction Law Group.  With 27 years of experience as a construction attorney.  Jack's practice emphasizes conseling and litigaton related to bid disputes, construction defects, insurance coverage issues, project delivery systems, contruction contracts and specifications.

Laura Bowman, Associate at Bricker & Eckler, her practice focuses on the preparation of construction project documents on behalf of private and public employers.  She provides guidance on project delivery systems, incllluding construction manager at risk and design-build, and creates procurement and bidding documents as well as construction project contracts. Her experience also incudes advising public owners on compliance with Ohio statuatory requirements relating to construction bidding and procurement.
