Mitigating Credit Card Fraud
Is your organization experiencing fraud in your acceptance of card payments? 
Has your organization suffered losses due to fraudulently used card numbers?
 
Join the NW AFP in a continuation of our meeting series on best practices in merchant services, this session is addressing fraud risks and mitigation.
 
Listen to our expert participants as they discuss recent fraud trends and the impact of EMV.  Additionally, the panel will share examples of what fraudsters are doing and discuss the main tactics for fighting fraud, including encryption, tokenization and online tools that provide visibility to transactions and the ability to make timely decisions.  The panelists will also discuss their most recent experiences with credit card fraud plus the tools and techniques they are using to fight it.

Participant Bios:
 
Marie Mui
Marie Mui is a Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo, Treasury Management and leads a team focused on building digital commerce, payments and receivables solutions. Marie has helped companies ranging from Fortune 100 to start-ups and disruptive innovators, architect and design their payments environments since 1999.
Prior to Wells Fargo, Marie worked at CyberSource, a leading payment gateway provider, now owned by Visa, Inc. and Escalate Retail, one of the first SaaS providers of ecommerce platform services, now owned by JDA Software.

Mary Desmond
Mary Desmond was the Cash Manager at The Seattle Times from 1993-2014. She moved to zulily in October 2014 to create a Treasury Department for this new and growing company. Mary has been an accredited CCM/CTP since 1994. Today Mary is zulily’s Treasury Manager. 

Lisa Wagner      
Lisa Wagner is Group Manager for Microsoft’s Cash Operations group.  Oversight and responsibilities include SWIFT initiatives, treasury payments, cash concentration, bank relationships and reporting.  Previous to joining Microsoft, she held roles in technology based companies such as Expedia, eBay and PayPal covering such areas as foreign exchange, investments, corporate finance and cash management.

Walt Townes
Walt Townes is a Vice President and Co-Founder of Retail Lockbox.  He is responsible for providing and implementing strategic leadership to achieve the company's long term goals and initiatives.  He co-founded Retail Lockbox, Inc. in 1994 along with current President and CEO, Craig Dawson.  He has a strong background in operations management with a focus on building teams who delivery consistent quality and responsive customer service, and has successfully operated service based business for over 25 years.

Registration

The meeting and lunch are included in the annual membership. All Members are eligible to bring a new one-time guest at no cost. Both members and guests must register. If the paid member cannot attend a meeting, a substitute may attend. Non-members pay the guest price of $55. Non-working students pay the student guest price of $15. Logistics
The meeting will take place at Washington Athletic Club (WAC) at 1325 Sixth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101. Meetings are two hours - networking begins at 11am, lunch is served at 11:30am and our program begins at 12pm.

NWAFP provides a 2-hour parking validation when parking in the WAC garage, 1409 Sixth Avenue. This is located a half-block north of the Clubhouse on Sixth Avenue.  (From I-5 South bound, exit Union Street, right on 6th and garage entrance on immediate left.  From I-5 North bound, exit Seneca, slight right on 6th, garage is two blocks north on left.)   The NWAFP encourages ride-sharing to its meetings.
