Same Day ACH Debits and Faster Payments

The approval of the Same Day ACH (SDA) rules amendment was announced by NACHA on May 19, 2015. We have completed the second of three phases allowing same day debit entries across the industry. Now we're moving into a new era! Later in 2017, we’ll have Real-time Payments (RTP), a new payments channel developed by The Clearing House. Faster payments impact every participant in the Payments Industry, this session will discuss the role of Same Day ACH and the impact of Real Time Payments and other faster payments initiatives.

Jim is Vice President of Education for WesPay and has over eighteen years of payments experience. Jim is responsible for developing and providing education and training to WesPay members through in-person workshops, webinars and in-house training. Prior to joining WesPay, Jim was the ACH Education and Training Manager for the Northwest Clearing House Association (NWCHA) since 2001, and a Customer Service Manager for Bank of America’s ACH Regional Processing Center in Seattle. Jim holds both an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) and National Check Professional (NCP) accreditation.
Registration
The meeting and lunch are included in the annual membership. All Members are eligible to bring a new one-time guest at no cost. Both members and guests must register. If the paid member cannot attend a meeting, a substitute may attend. Non-members pay the guest price of $55. Non-working students pay the student guest price of $15. The meeting will take place at Washington Athletic Club (WAC) at 1325 Sixth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101. Meetings are two hours - networking begins at 11am, lunch is served at 11:30am and our program begins at 12pm.
NWAFP provides a 2-hour parking validation when parking in the WAC garage, 1409 Sixth Avenue. This is located a half-block north of the Clubhouse on Sixth Avenue. (From I-5 South bound, exit Union Street, right on 6th and garage entrance on immediate left. From I-5 North bound, exit Seneca, slight right on 6th, garage is two blocks north on left.) The NWAFP encourages ride-sharing to its meetings.
