The group will meet online via WebEx each month at 9AM EST, starting 9/19/2017.
Session 1: September 19, 2017 (Mindshift: Why “unlearning” old habits is an essential step for innovation….one thing that stands in the way of change is the inability to see things beyond what they have always been in the past. How can we foster effective change within our schools?)
Session 2: October 17, 2017 (A look into math journals, or problem solving notebooks)
Session 3: November 14, 2017 (Are your students Problem Performers or Problem Solvers? Based on an article from Teaching Children Mathematics, May 2017)
Session 4: December 12, 2017 (What does the phrase “Multiple Entry and Exit Points” really mean?)
Session 5: January 16, 2018 (Are we undermining kids’ conceptual knowledge by offering them procedural knowledge too early?)
Session 6: February 13, 2018 (How do you manage your own professional growth?)
